MILES has advised clients on insurance since 2015 and was incorporated as a private limited company in 2023.
Our role as a broker
- MILES is an insurance broker, not an insurance company. We advise you, place your insurance with insurers and support you with claims.
- Insurance policies are issued by the insurance company, and every claim is assessed and decided by the insurer under the terms of the policy.
- Premiums are always paid directly to the insurance company. MILES does not collect premiums into its own or any personal account.
- Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. Please read the policy wording, including exclusions, before buying.
How we are paid
As permitted under the IRDAI (Insurance Brokers) Regulations, MILES is paid remuneration by the insurer with which your insurance is placed. For certain services, such as risk management or claims consultancy, we may agree a separate fee with you in writing before providing the service. You may ask us at any time about the remuneration we receive on your policy.
Our insurer relationships
We place business with a range of life, general and health insurance companies. MILES is not owned by, and does not own, any insurance company, and we recommend the insurer and policy we believe best meets your needs.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please follow our grievance redressal process. You can also contact IRDAI through Bima Bharosa.
Beware of spurious calls
IRDAI is not involved in activities like selling insurance policies, announcing bonuses or investing premiums. Members of the public receiving such phone calls are requested to lodge a police complaint.
