Grievance Redressal
We want every client to be satisfied with the advice and service they receive from MILES. If something has gone wrong, please tell us — this page explains how to raise a complaint and how to escalate it if you are not satisfied with our response.
Step 1: Contact MILES
Write to us or call us with your name, policy number (if any) and a short description of the issue:
| info@milesinsurance.in (subject line: “Grievance”) | |
| Phone | +91 85100 09927 / +91 98182 81747, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM |
| Post | Grievance Cell, MILES Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Unit No. 709, 7th Floor, Spaze Boulevard-1, Sohna Road, Sector 47, Gurugram, Haryana 122018 |
We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, keep you informed of progress and aim to resolve it as quickly as possible.
Step 2: Escalate to our Principal Officer
If you are not satisfied with the response, or have not heard from us, you can escalate the complaint to our Principal Officer, Mr. Vinay Jain, at info@milesinsurance.in (marked “For the attention of the Principal Officer”).
Step 3: Complaints about an insurer or a claim decision
MILES is an insurance broker. Policies are issued, and claims are decided, by the insurance company. If your complaint is about a claim decision or the insurer’s service, we will help you take it up with the insurer’s grievance redressal officer. Every insurer must have one, and details are printed on your policy document and on the insurer’s website.
Step 4: IRDAI and the Insurance Ombudsman
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can approach the regulator or the Ombudsman:
- IRDAI Bima Bharosa — register and track a complaint online at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in.
- IRDAI Grievance Call Centre — toll-free 155255 or 1800 4254 732; email complaints@irdai.gov.in.
- Insurance Ombudsman — for complaints against insurers, including disputes over claims, you may approach the Insurance Ombudsman for your area. Details are available from the Council for Insurance Ombudsmen at cioins.co.in.
Beware of spurious calls
IRDAI does not sell insurance, announce bonuses or invest premiums. If you receive a call claiming otherwise, please lodge a police complaint. MILES will never ask you to pay a premium into a personal bank account — premiums are always paid directly to the insurance company.
